01 — The airport

Two ways in.

Land at Clark, the closer of the two, or at NAIA in Manila. Direct buses to Baguio leave from both.

02 — The expressway

North, across the plains.

NLEX, SCTEX and TPLEX carry you through Central Luzon to Rosario, La Union, at the foot of the mountains.

03 — The climb

Then up, into the pines.

The road winds into the Cordillera. The air cools, and the clouds come down to meet you.

Getting there

From either airport

Baguio is a road trip from both. If you can choose your flight, Clark is the shorter ride.

CRK

Clark International Airport

Pampanga

The closer of the two: about half the road time from NAIA, with direct buses from the airport itself.

Direct bus

Genesis, from the airport to Baguio

3 to 4 hours

About ₱510 to ₱700, by class

  1. 1Board at the bus station in the arrivals area of Terminal 2.
  2. 2Departures run through the day, from early morning to the evening. Only some can be booked ahead, so check before you fly.
  3. 3Get off at the Baguio terminal and take a taxi to the club.

Private car or van

SCTEX, TPLEX, then the climb

About 3 to 4 hours

  1. 1From the airport, take SCTEX north to TPLEX and stay on it to the Rosario exit in La Union.
  2. 2Climb to Baguio by Marcos Highway, the wider road and the safer choice in bad weather.
  3. 3Set your navigation to Baguio Country Club for the last stretch through the city.
MNL

Ninoy Aquino International Airport

Metro Manila

More flights, a longer road. Getting out of Metro Manila is what makes the time hard to predict, so leave some margin.

Direct bus

Genesis, from NAIA Terminal 3

6 to 7 hours

About ₱750 to ₱1,100, by class

  1. 1Buses leave from NAIA Terminal 3. If you land at another terminal, transfer to Terminal 3 first.
  2. 2Genesis lists departures from about 4:30 AM to 4:30 PM, so a late flight may mean a night in Manila or the Pasay option below.
  3. 3Get off at the Baguio terminal and take a taxi to the club.

Bus from Pasay

More departures, a short ride from the airport

About 5 to 7 hours

About ₱670 to ₱1,620, by class

  1. 1Take a taxi or Grab from the airport to a Genesis or Victory Liner terminal in Pasay, along EDSA.
  2. 2Buses run through the day and into the night. The premium classes are the most comfortable for the trip.
  3. 3Get off at the Baguio terminal and take a taxi to the club.

Private car or van

NLEX, SCTEX, TPLEX, then the climb

About 5 to 7 hours

Tolls of about ₱1,000 each way

  1. 1Cross Metro Manila to NLEX. This is the slowest and least predictable part of the trip, so allow for traffic.
  2. 2Follow NLEX to SCTEX and TPLEX, and stay on to the Rosario exit in La Union.
  3. 3Climb to Baguio by Marcos Highway, then set your navigation to Baguio Country Club.
Good to know

Book your seat early

Friday, April 9 is normally a public holiday in the Philippines, so buses to Baguio may fill up and the roads may be busier that week.

Which road up

Kennon Road is shorter but steeper, and it can close after landslides or heavy rain. Marcos Highway is longer and more dependable.

The last few kilometres

Taxis are the easy way from the bus terminal to the club, which is about 4.5 km from downtown Baguio. Ask for the Baguio Country Club on Country Club Road.

What to pack

Baguio sits about 1,500 metres above sea level and is noticeably cooler than Manila or Clark. A light jacket is worth having, especially in the evening.

Times and fares come from the operators and 2026 travel guides, as checked in November 2026. They change without notice, so please confirm with the operator before you travel. For questions about the congress, write to aseancongress2027@gmail.com.
